JOB OVERVIEW

Function Overview

GIC Sales Strategy & Intelligence team partners with our global General Mills sales teams in providing them with analytical horsepower and enable business continuity so they can focus on core activities - Selling, driving distribution gains and optimizing merchandising plans to deliver sales volume targets. We enable customer, pricing & promotion strategies across the global markets through our focused capabilities of Sales Execution, Trade & Strategic Revenue Management and Category Management. Teams within function are aligned to the above focused capabilities for each of our markets and each team member specializes in domains of Advanced Analytics, Visual Insights & Planogramming.

Purpose of the role

The role will be responsible for supporting the North America Foodservices (NAF) business teams. The ideal candidate should play a part as the primary steward of NAF's Account Targeting and Sales Lead execution. The analyst will be hands-on in quiring, combining, harmonizing and packaging data in support of Sales Leads process. The focus is to deliver high value account targets in a timely manner to our field sale team. This team member will independently build a seamless rapport with overseas points of contact, and initiate business requests, by providing expertise with blending & synthesizing disparate datasets, and high attention to details.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


. Take direction/scope for Sales Lead campaigns
. Query/extract data from multiple systems to support campaign scope
. Combine data sets into ad-hoc data models
. Perform data cleansing and harmonization steps
. Apply advanced analytics/modelling techniques to surface top opportunities
. Package final deliverables as needed for end users
. Partner with Data Foundation on new data needs for forecasting capabilities
. Create/apply predictive models in existing self-service tools (ex: CRMA)
. Lay foundation for future integration of AI capabilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience-

Min. years of related experience required:

4-6 years of relevant Data Synthesizing, Data Harmonizations, Business Reporting experience in CPG (or related) industry, Advance Analytics, Data Modelling expertise are preferred

Preferred years of related experience:

5-6 years of Business Reporting, Analytics & Visualization experience in CPG/FMCG industry on Sales, Trade, eCommerce, Revenue Management Skills

Education

-Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
. Strong command over oral and written English
. Multitasking ability - work on a host of tools/databases and software/platforms effectively to manifest superior results

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:

. Advanced analytics & Modelling techniques
. SQL, R, Python
. Business and technical aptitude
. Ability to blend and synthesize disparate datasets
. Hand on keyboard willingness
. Moderate to advanced Excel skills
. Critical thinking and problem solving
. Attention to detail
. High collaboration with US based counterparts
