About the Role
As the Senior Analyst, RFQ you will lead cross-functional teams to adhere to the Global RFQ process, resulting in quality outcomes aligned with HARMAN Automotive business targets.
What You Will Do
  • Accountable for the overall RFQ process in collaboration with CBU/CPM/SBU/Operations/Finance, and others
  • Drive the RFQ process in time, in quality, and compliance with GAR guidelines
  • Understand HARMAN Automotive SBU product offerings and future technology roadmaps
  • This Senior Consultant shall have the responsibility to be part of the team bidding for new business pursuits in India and assimilate high level requirements defined by customers at bidding/ RFQ stage and translate them into functional requirements understood by cross functional teams in the organization.
  • The candidate shall have the responsibility and opportunity to understand requirements at product level (system, hardware, mechanical, software) and shall be responsible for working with cross functional teams in understanding and documenting them using tools such as DOORS or EXCEL.
  • Candidate shall also be party to gathering information such as costed BOM, engineering costs etc and help compile the data for the RFQ team.
  • One of the primary responsibility of the candidate is also to support in compiling technical response to the customer.
  • Candidate shall also involve in customer road shows and be able to present and sell HARMAN technical demonstrations in a manner easily understood by customers.
  • Establish team milestones and coordinate RFQ reviews with relevant stakeholders
  • Secure the involvement and alignment of RFQ core and peer team members
  • Ensure RFQ documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained and controlled
  • Responsible for ensuring data integrity in Global Sales Management Tool (SalesForce)
  • Identify RFQ issues and drive resolution at the team level. Escalate roadblocks to appropriate management levels.
  • Identify opportunities to reuse existing assets as well as up-selling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Implement and maintain global continuous improvement process for RFQs
  • Be a resource for process-related questions, provide guidance, and communicate any relevant information to the cross-functional teams
  • Track RFQ status and provide regular updates to leadership
  • Communicate and collaborate with Global RFQ teams
  • Requirement engineering function at RFI/RFQ stage:
    • Receives customer requirements and categorizes/ maintains them
    • Disseminate requirements to global RFQ teams and help maintain technical portion of the project charter at RFQ stage
    • Helps in preparing technical response presentations by coordinating information gathering from global teams
    • Validates existing Harman platform architecture & use cases supported against customer requirements
    • Understands RFI/RFQ process at Harman
    • Understands HARMAN global and local platform offerings
  • Coordinating and gathering techno-commercial inputs from global teams
    • Collects cost and effort data from global teams and manages the resulting data for sales team
    • Maintain version history of all cost inputs
    • Help in preparing technical presentations for sales team
  • Technology Responsibilities
    • Keeps abreast with HARMAN technology roadmap, product developments customer engagements (RFQ quotations) happening globally within Harman community in order to leverage the same solutions for customers in India. As part of this responsibility develops networking with business development & technical sales personnel in other Harman locations.
    • Updates job knowledge by studying new product architectures studying new offering from vendors and technology partners and participating in educational opportunities such as seminars, expositions etc
    • On need basis leads small proof of concept projects together with other teams to demonstrate technology solutions to customers

What you Need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering, Science, or Business Administration
  • 8 years overall experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in customer product delivery and sales in automotive industries or related industries
  • Leadership skills and able to work in a global matrixed organization and able to present to all levels of the organization
  • Financial acumen and in-depth automotive business understanding
  • In-depth knowledge of the HARMAN product portfolio and the technology roadmap

What nice to Have
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Technical knowledge of the Audio systems and Automotive Electronics
