The Finance Technology function provides systems development, implementation and support services for FIL's Finance Team. We support several functions spanning across Business Finance & Management Accounting, Financial Accounting & Analytics, Taxation, Global Procurement, Corporate Treasury, and several other teams in all of FIL's international locations, including UK, Japan, China and India.

We provide IT services to the Fidelity International businesses, globally. These include development and support of business functions that underpin our financial accounting and decision making for global CFO Orgs, and we implement multiple systems including ERP platforms, Oracle EPM, home grown apps and third party products. We are system providers to key process lifecycles such as Procure to Pay (P2P/Global Procurement), Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C) and Acquire to Retire (A2R). We also manage systems to enable cash management, forex trading and treasury operations across the Globe. We own warehouses that consolidate data from across the organisations functions to provide meaningful insights.

We are currently running a major multi-year global transformation programme that includes construction of critical new in-house applications, catering to several functional work streams.

The Data Analyst is responsible for data analysis, data visualisation, and data modelling. This role requires a keen interest in data driven systems, ideally in Financial Services domain, but other sectors will be considered. The candidate will be comfortable translating data requirements into user friendly visualisation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and document requirements from a data perspective. The candidate will match business requirements with data schema and model solutions to specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with business facing analysts to understand requirements versus data schemas. Whilst the business focus is on Treasury teams, the candidate may have developed the required skills in other sectors.
  • Have experience of multiple visualization tools.
  • Have extensive experience of SQL Server database solutions and be able to quickly map the front-end solutions with source data. This requires an advanced understanding of SQL scripting and database interrogation to map the data flows.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to operations.
  • Act as a liaison between the Treasury department and Treasury IT teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions.

Technical Requirements:

  • Exposure to GenAI and LLM integration in enterprise data platforms.
  • Working understanding of the Cloud Azure/AWS based infra solutions.
  • Proficiency with SQL and database management for extracting and analysing data.
  • Experience with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data platforms, Python, APIs and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Ability to use data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to present insights.
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC and ITIL process for the Production Support.
  • Understanding of software applications on-premises.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Proven experience in a Data Analysis role in complex multi system, global environments.
  • Proven ability to document complex requirements, data mapping, and data visualisation tools to provide seamless solutions in an Agile sprint-based environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Professional certifications
  • Experience in project management or business process improvement methodologies.


The right candidate must be an initiative-taking who can translate requirements into data models, workflows and end visualisation solutions spanning multiple data sources. The ideal candidate is required to meticulously document requirements, data models, workflows, and user interfaces. The candidate will be experienced in use of industry standard tools to document solution including detailed data dictionaries and workflows.
