Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Market Data Operations:

  • Maintain and validate daily market data inputs including yield curves, FX rates, equity prices, interest rates, and credit spreads.
  • Monitor data feeds and ensure data integrity from sources like Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit, IDC, and internal systems.
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and perform root cause analysis for incorrect valuations or PnL breaks.
  • Support daily EOD processes, including static and dynamic data loads into front-office and middle-office systems.

Support & Issue Resolution:

  • Provide functional support to front-office traders, risk managers, and middle-office users on market data queries and breaks.
  • Investigate data exceptions and resolve issues within agreed SLAs.
  • Coordinate with IT for system enhancements, bug fixes, and incident resolution.

Controls & Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit, and governance policies related to market data usage.
  • Document and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), run books, and control frameworks.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to data governance and pricing controls.

Project & Change Support:

  • Support implementation of new products, system upgrades, and process automation related to market data handling.
  • Contribute to UAT, data migration, and impact assessments for strategic initiatives or regulatory changes (e.g., FRTB, IFRS 13).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 36 years of experience in market data operations, pricing support, or middle office.
  • Experience with financial instruments including fixed income, FX, derivatives, and equities.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of market data concepts and pricing methodologies (e.g., mark-to-market, bid/ask spreads, yield curves).
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit, IDC, or other market data providers.
  • Proficiency in Excel (VBA preferred), SQL, or other data analysis tools.
  • Good knowledge of middle office systems (e.g., Murex, Calypso, Summit, or proprietary trade platforms).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities across multiple markets and time zones.
