Job Summary
- Work with business clients and ProcureAbility advisory teams to understand the analytical objectives for each project and secure the data necessary to achieve those objectives
- Deliver spend analytics and procurement data solutions to clients directly and as a part of a larger procurement advisory engagement:
- Act as a procurement data subject matter expert in client and advisory discussions
- Gather internal and external client requirements
- Work directly with clients and advisory teams to collect data
- Assess data scope and validity for spend analytics / PureSpend
- Perform project management for the analytics projects (timelines, risks, resources, etc.)
- Perform data cleansing and enrichment – data transformation, loading, and manipulation, supplier normalization, categorization to procurement taxonomy
- Identify and implement process improvements / automation
- Support development and maintenance of data visualization / dashboards for client PureSpend instances and other digital modules
- Conduct user training
- Work closely with business stakeholders and consulting / delivery teams to understand reporting and analytics objectives and translate them into high-quality dashboards and visual insights
- Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support business, operational and performance decision-making
- Develop and optimise complex SQL queries, views and data models to support analytics, reporting and visualization requirements
- Partner with data engineering and source system teams to ensure accurate, reliable and timely data availability for reporting
- Perform data validation, reconciliation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of dashboards and reports
- Design and maintain semantic models and datasets to enable self-service analytics for business users
- Create standardized reporting templates, KPI definitions and visualization best practices to ensure consistency across reports
- Support business users with ad-hoc analyses, data exploration and insight generation
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency through automation, reusable data models and optimized queries
- Contribute to documentation of data definitions, report logic and visualization standards
- Support user training and enablement on dashboards and self-service reporting capabilities
- Collaborate with product, analytics and digital teams to support enhancements to reporting and analytics platforms
- Support client and internal presentations, demonstrations and storytelling using data and visual insights
Education & Experience
Typically requires a 5 -8 years of experience.
Typically College or university degree required
- Strong experience in data visualization and business intelligence roles with a focus on dashboarding and reporting
- Hands-on expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, report development and performance optimization
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, including writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, window functions and performance tuning
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, fact and dimension tables, semantic layers)
- Experience working with large, multi-source datasets and enterprise data platforms
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective and intuitive visualizations and KPIs
- Strong understanding of data quality, validation and reconciliation practices
- Experience working with business, consulting and technical stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and visual quality
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain insights clearly to non-technical audiences
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple reporting and dashboard requests in parallel
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, finance or operations analytics is a strong plus
- Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.) and ETL / data pipelines is a plus
- Knowledge of Python or advanced analytics tools is a plus
