This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis based in India.
This role is part of a high-impact finance function focused on driving data-driven decision-making and enabling strategic business performance.
You will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities that directly support leadership and cross-functional teams.
The position plays a key role in translating financial data into actionable insights that influence pricing, revenue, and cost optimization decisions.
You will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and alignment with strategic objectives.
The role requires a strong balance of analytical rigor and business partnering in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
You will contribute to revenue accounting, MIS reporting, and compliance processes while maintaining high standards of data integrity.
This is a highly collaborative role where finance insights directly shape operational and strategic outcomes.
Accountabilities
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and pricing models while supporting ongoing financial planning cycles.
- Analyze monthly financial performance, identifying key drivers, variances, and actionable insights for leadership review.
- Partner with business teams to assess profitability, revenue trends, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Support revenue recognition activities in compliance with IND AS standards, including deferred revenue tracking and reconciliation.
- Develop and present MIS reports and management dashboards for CXO-level and leadership decision-making.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across ERP systems and reporting platforms.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate revenue booking and reporting.
- Contribute to process improvements and financial automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, revenue accounting, or financial reporting roles.
- Educational background in CA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent finance qualification.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, revenue recognition (IND AS), and financial controls.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with strong analytical capabilities.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to engage at senior leadership level.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and data interpretation abilities.
- Experience in MIS reporting, variance analysis, and dashboard preparation is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in the EdTech industry is preferred.
