GCS Control Management (Specialized OR): The objective of the GCS Control Management Specialized Operational Risk (OR) team is to provide subject matter expertise on specific Operational Risk topics to ensure the BU is equipped with in-depth knowledge of risk-stripes to manage and mitigate these risks effectively; supports the BU with expert guidance for topical Operational Risk intelligence.
GCS Control Management Specialized Operational Risk (OR) is looking for a Sr. Analyst focused on ensuring control management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.
Responsibilities
Summary of Responsibilities:
- RPR Dashboard Ownership
- Own the end-to-end RPR dashboard lifecycle (data ingestion → Python transformation → Tableau visualization → QC → publishing)
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards (SLT/SLT-1 roll-ups, metric views, executive summaries)
- Manage monthly refresh cycles ensuring timely, accurate delivery
- Data Automation
- Build and enhance Python-based data pipelines for transformation, mapping, and aggregation
- Drive automation and scalability by reducing manual processes
- Data Integrity, QC & Governance
- Ensure end-to-end data accuracy across all layers
- Lead QC, validation, and defect resolution cycles
- Ensure adherence to publishing and governance processes (e.g., RFC, controlled deployments)
- Risk Performance & Business Insights
- Interpret RPR metrics across Operational and Compliance pillars
- Identify risk trends, emerging issues, and key drivers
- Translate outputs into actionable business insights and risk narratives
- Executive Storytelling
- Develop clear, insight-driven summaries for leadership
- Highlight early warning indicators and areas of concern
- Support decision-making through data-backed narratives
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with SMEs, metric owners, and Control Management teams
- Validate data inputs and align outputs with business and risk context
- Drive consistency and best practices across reporting
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in Data Analytics, Automation and Dashboard storytelling and / or operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) and understanding critical operational risk management lifecycle activities
- Project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively
- Technical Skills (Required):
- Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Hands on exposure to programming languages like Python
- Functional Skills:
- Self-Starter and work with a sense of ownership
- Strong business acumen with ability to interpret risk performance
- Ability to connect data insights to operational and compliance risk impacts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ownership mindset in QC-driven environments
- Effective stakeholder management and communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- Risk reporting frameworks / KRIs / dashboards (e.g., RPR)
- Translating analytics into executive-level insights
