Senior AI Platform Operations Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a Senior AI Platform Operations Engineer to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of enterprise AI services running on Azure. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong operations mindset, ownership mentality, and expertise in ITIL-driven practices.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Azure service monitoring : Continuously track performance, availability, and health of AI workloads on Azure, using advanced monitoring tools to prevent downtime.
• Incident & problem management : Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation to ensure service resilience.
• Deployment governance : Oversee service rollouts, upgrades, and configuration changes with strict adherence to enterprise standards.
• Operational optimization : Identify inefficiencies, reduce costs, and implement improvements to strengthen system stability.
• Security & compliance : Ensure AI services meet enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements, including IAM best practices.
  
  

Requirements

• Azure operations experience : 5–7 years in IT/cloud operations with proven expertise in Azure services.
• Monitoring & incident management : Strong background in proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
• Enterprise operations mindset : Familiarity with structured frameworks and governance models for enterprise-scale services.
• Ownership mentality : Ability to take accountability for service health and drive continuous improvement.
• ITIL expertise : Solid understanding of ITIL processes and their application in enterprise operations.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience in AI service operations .
• Knowledge of Entra ID / IAM for identity and access management.
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and automation frameworks.
