Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI/LLM and Agentic AI systems for patient conversations, intent classification, and autonomous booking workflows.
• Build and optimize RAG, agent orchestration, tool calling, memory/state, and workflow systems using clinic-specific knowledge.
• Develop and optimize LLM solutions using Azure OpenAI, prompt engineering, and appropriate AI frameworks.
• Design AI services that integrate reliably with our .NET 8 / React / Azure platform.
• Own AI features from architecture → development → testing/evaluation → production deployment → monitoring and optimization.
• Diagnose and improve hallucinations, latency, reliability, AI quality, and production failures.
• Establish AI engineering best practices, code reviews, testing, evaluation, and observability.
• Mentor and technically guide junior AI engineers, review their designs/code, and help them grow into independent AI engineers.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ship AI capabilities that measurably improve clinic conversion and patient experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software/AI engineering experience, with at least 3+ years primarily focused on AI/ML engineering.
• Strong production experience building and deploying AI systems.
• Proven experience with LLMs and Agentic AI, not only POCs, tutorials, or internal projects.

Required Skills

• Strong Python engineering skills.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, tool/function calling, and AI orchestration.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, LangChain/LangGraph or similar frameworks.
• Experience with vector databases/search such as Azure AI Search, Pinecone, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of AI evaluation, testing, observability, hallucination reduction, latency and cost optimization.
• Production experience deploying and supporting AI systems in Azure/cloud environments.
• Understanding of secure handling of healthcare/regulated data; HIPAA/PIPEDA experience is a plus.
• Strong debugging, architecture, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor and review junior AI engineers.

Pay range and compensation package

• Salary Range: $20K - $25K (USD) (annually)
• Location: This is a Remote opportunity
