About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior AI / ML Engineer to design, optimize, and scale enterprise-grade AI-powered search and retrieval solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, vector search, content ingestion pipelines, and LLM-powered retrieval systems.
While experience with Kore.ai SearchAI or SearchAssist is highly preferred, candidates with strong hands-on expertise in AI Search, Enterprise Search, Retrieval Systems, and GenAI-based search platforms are encouraged to apply.
This role will focus on building intelligent enterprise search experiences, improving retrieval quality, search relevance, and AI-driven content discovery across large-scale enterprise environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and optimize AI-powered search and retrieval architectures for enterprise applications.
- Build and enhance Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems leveraging Large Language Models.
- Configure, customize, and optimize SearchAI platforms including Kore.ai SearchAI where applicable.
- Develop content ingestion frameworks for structured and unstructured enterprise data sources.
- Design effective chunking strategies to maximize retrieval quality and response accuracy.
- Improve semantic search capabilities using embeddings, vector search, and ranking optimization techniques.
- Perform retrieval quality testing, relevance evaluation, and search performance benchmarking.
- Troubleshoot indexing, retrieval, ranking, and content ingestion issues.
- Analyze user search behavior and optimize search relevance using data-driven methodologies.
- Collaborate with AI/ML, Data Engineering, Product, and Business teams to deliver scalable AI search solutions.
- Support migration initiatives from legacy search platforms to modern AI-powered search systems.
- Implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for retrieval accuracy and response quality.
- Contribute to AI governance, content validation, and responsible AI practices.
- Explore and implement Agentic AI workflows and autonomous retrieval capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience
AI / ML & Search Technologies :
- Strong experience in Enterprise Search, Semantic Search, and AI Search platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
- Expertise in Vector Search and Embedding-based Retrieval Systems.
- Experience with Content Chunking and Retrieval Optimization strategies.
- Strong understanding of Search Relevance Tuning and Ranking Mechanisms.
- Experience working with LLM-powered Retrieval Systems.
Programming & Development
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with REST APIs and Enterprise Integrations.
- Knowledge of Content Processing, Indexing, and Search Pipelines.
- Experience handling structured and unstructured data.
GenAI & AI Frameworks
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration frameworks.
- Understanding of Prompt Engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of AI Workflow Orchestration and Agentic AI concepts.
Vector Databases & Search Engines
Experience with one or more Vector Databases:
- Pinecone
- Weaviate
- FAISS
- ChromaDB
- Milvus
Preferred
- Experience with Kore.ai SearchAI.

- Exposure to Agentic AI frameworks.
