Job Description

Hiring for: A US based well funded startup building low-latency, agentic voice AI systems at production scale.

Role: Senior AI / LLM Engineer – Agentic Orchestration

Experience: 5-7 years

Location: Bengaluru

Type: Hybrid - 3 days Work From Office

Notice: Immediate preferred, no longer than 30 days

Salary: Based on fitment (45L range + massive ESOPs)

Role:

Building and scaling production-grade AI agent systems, working closely with senior engineers and leadership.

This role focuses on implementing and improving agent workflows, execution pipelines, and system reliability, rather than owning the entire control plane.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain multi-step AI agent workflows that coordinate LLMs, tools, and APIs
  • Implement execution pipelines for agents interacting with external systems and services
  • Contribute to the orchestration layer (control flow, tool execution, state handling)
  • Work on agent reliability — retries, fallbacks, and failure handling
  • Integrate LLMs with APIs, databases, and internal services
  • Improve latency, scalability, and observability of AI systems
  • Collaborate on design decisions with senior/principal engineers
  • Participate in production debugging, monitoring, and incident resolution

You're Strong At

  • Building production AI/LLM applications (not just prototypes)
  • Working with LLMs, APIs, and tool integrations
  • Designing multi-step workflows or pipelines
  • Writing clean, scalable backend systems (Python/Go/Node)
  • Debugging and improving system reliability and performance
  • Understanding of how systems fail and how to handle edge cases
  • Agent frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, etc.)
  • Workflow orchestration concepts (RAGs, pipelines, schedulers)

Good to Have

  • Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, queues, async processing)
  • Basic understanding of:

-retries / idempotency

-observability / logging

-distributed systems

This is NOT for you if

  • You are purely a data scientist or ML researcher
  • You have not built or shipped production systems
  • You are looking for a people management role
