About the Role:

We are looking for an AI Engineer whose primary focus is designing and building agentic workflows that automate, refine, and optimise business processes end-to-end. Beyond agentic work, you will also contribute to developing data products and optimization models that drive business outcomes through better decision-making. You bring a background in software engineering and applied AI, with a systems mindset toward measurable business impact.

You'll be part of our Data & AI team, working closely with business stakeholders and the platform and data teams to identify automation and optimization opportunities, translate them into production-grade AI solutions, and continuously refine them based on performance and business feedback.

What You'll Do:

• Design and build agentic workflows that automate, refine, and optimize business processes end-to-end, leveraging LLMs as reasoning and execution engines.
• Design and optimize prompts, system messages, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines for high-quality, reliable output.
• Integrate AI capabilities into applications via APIs, SDKs, and microservices using modern cloud and containerization technologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data team members deeply understand business processes, identify automation and optimization opportunities, and translate them into AI solutions that add measurable value.
• Monitor and evaluate model performance using evals, observability tooling (e.g., Langfuse, LangSmith), and cost tracking; apply responsible AI principles around safety and compliance.
• Stay current with developments in AI research, tooling, and optimization techniques, and proactively bring innovative approaches into production.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development, of which 2+ years building production AI solutions (agentic systems, LLM integrations, or workflow optimisation).
• Proven experience with AI / agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pydantic AI); familiarity with Temporal for durable workflow orchestration and knowledge of LLM tracing frameworks is a plus
• Experience integrating AI into production systems (e.g., via REST APIs or Node.js)
• Experience consuming and building MCP servers
• Experience with AI services and PaaS services for running workloads in cloud platforms (we use Azure)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business impact.
• Curiosity and drive to explore emerging AI capabilities, with a focus on applying them to real operational and commercial problems
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile delivery.

Must Have Skills:

• Python
• Azure services (AI services, data/storage)
• GIT and understanding of CI/CD
• Infrastructure-as-Code.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Node.js / Angular / React — a strong plus for candidates who also have frontend integration experience.
