This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior AI Automation Engineer based in India.
This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, automation, and applied AI, focused on building intelligent systems that streamline operations across a global SaaS ecosystem.
You will design and deliver AI-powered workflows, integrations, and internal tools that connect more than 300 cloud and SaaS platforms.
The position plays a key role in improving operational efficiency by automating complex business and IT processes using modern AI-driven development approaches.
You will actively leverage AI coding assistants, agents, and automation frameworks to accelerate delivery and innovation.
This is a highly experimental and impact-driven environment where engineering creativity and continuous improvement are strongly encouraged.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including IT, DevOps, security, and business stakeholders to scale automation across the organization.
Accountabilities
- Design, build, and maintain AI-powered automations, internal tools, and integrations across enterprise SaaS and cloud platforms.
- Develop scripts, APIs, utilities, and lightweight applications using AI-assisted development workflows.
- Build and manage workflow automations using platforms such as n8n or similar tools, connecting APIs, SaaS applications, and internal systems.
- Implement and maintain integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth authentication, and event-driven architectures.
- Leverage AI tools, LLMs, and agents to accelerate development, automate processes, and improve operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve data quality through automation and AI.
- Create dashboards, reports, and operational insights by integrating data across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable automation solutions.
- Explore and adopt emerging AI technologies and automation frameworks to improve engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in Automation Engineering, Software Engineering, DevOps, IT Operations, or similar roles.
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience building APIs, scripts, integrations, and automation solutions.
- Proven experience using AI tools such as OpenAI, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with AI agents, MCP services, prompt engineering, and LLM-based automation concepts.
- Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, Make, or Workato.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including serverless services.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and curiosity for emerging AI and automation technologies.
