Job Description
Position title: Sr. Executive - Accounts
Function/Division: Accounts
Education Profile (including any certifications)
B.Com / M.Com (preferred)
MBA (Finance) will be an added advantage
Certifications in GST, TDS, and ERP / Tally / Accounting Software desirable
Overall Experience(Years) - Minimum 7 years of accounting experience in manufacturing or food processing industry, preferably in FMCG, food, or allied sectors
Location - Corporate Office – NSP, New Delhi
Reporting Manager: Manager – Accounts
Brief Roles & Responsibilities: -
The Sr. Executive – Accounts will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations at the Corporate Office, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, journal entries, bank reconciliations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The incumbent will ensure accurate accounting records, timely GST and TDS compliance, preparation of MIS reports, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures. The role will also coordinate with plant finance teams, procurement, sales, HR, and other corporate functions to ensure seamless financial operations and compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities & Skills :
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Record and verify accounting transactions including purchases, sales, receipts,
payments, journal vouchers, and contra entries.
Maintain general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, bank reconciliation statements, and
expense records.
Ensure timely accounting entries and proper documentation.
Assist in preparation of financial statements, Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet,
and schedules.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Returns) and TDS returns.
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
Coordinate with statutory, internal, GST, and tax auditors.
Maintain statutory records and support departmental assessments.
Financial Reporting & MIS
Prepare periodic MIS reports, cash flow statements, fund flow reports, and variance analysis.
Perform vendor, customer, inter-company, and bank reconciliations.
Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting.
Monitor receivables, payables, and working capital.
ERP & Systems
Work on Tally Prime, ERP systems, Busy ERP, SAP, or equivalent accounting software.
Ensure accuracy of financial data and support automation of accounting processes.
Generate reports and perform financial data analysis using MS Excel and ERP systems.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, HR, Operations, Stores, and Plant Accounts teams for timely accounting and financial closures.
Liaise with vendors, customers, banks, auditors, consultants, and statutory authorities.
Support implementation of financial controls, SOPs, and process improvement initiatives.
Guide and mentor junior accounts team members whenever required.
Key Skills :
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
Sound understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
Experience in preparing financial statements, MIS reports, budgets, and cash flow analysis.
Strong reconciliation skills for vendors, customers, banks, and inter-company transactions.
Proficiency in Tally Prime, Busy ERP, SAP, MS Excel, and ERP-based accounting systems.
Ability to coordinate with auditors and ensure timely statutory compliance.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
