Job Summary
The Accounts Executive Finance will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations related to the logistics division. This includes handling billing, vendor payments, reconciliations, expense management, and supporting monthly financial reporting. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a good understanding of accounting principles and logistics cost structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting entries related to logistics operations freight, customs, warehousing, and transportation.
- Prepare and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable for logistics vendors and clients.
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to verify shipment details, freight charges, and supporting documentation.
- Perform bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and expense analysis.
- Maintain records of advances, credit notes, and pending payments.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare MIS reports related to logistics costs, profitability, and outstanding payables/receivables.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory payments (GST, TDS, etc.) and coordinate with auditors during audits.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience in logistics accounting (freight, transportation, warehousing) preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance).
- 25 years of experience in accounts or finance; logistics or shipping industry experience preferred.
