Role Description The Senior Accountant will work on-site in Uttar Pradesh, India, in a full-time capacity. This role includes managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing and reviewing journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will support statutory audits and internal audits, assist with tax computations and filings, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders on assurance and compliance matters. Responsibilities also include reviewing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flows, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and improving internal controls and accounting processes. The role may also involve supporting management in financial analysis, MIS reporting, and responding to client queries on accounting and compliance issues.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and finalization of accounts.
- Experience with statutory audit, internal or management audit, and compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Excel, including reconciliations and data analysis.
- Understanding of direct and indirect taxation, including GST, TDS, and corporate tax filings.
- Ability to prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and management reports for decision-making.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients, auditors, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CMA, or equivalent, or a bachelor's/master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a CA firm or professional services environment is preferred.
