Job Description – Senior Accountant
Position: Senior Accountant
Department: Accounts & Taxation
Location: Vidyavihar, Mumbai Maharashtra
Experience: 3–5 Years
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, GST compliance, income tax matters, financial reporting, and client accounts. The candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and ledger scrutiny.
- Maintain accounts using Tally Prime and prepare financial statements.
- Perform GST reconciliation, ITC reconciliation, and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle GST notices, prepare replies, and assist with GST assessments and appeals.
- Prepare and file TDS returns and manage TDS compliance.
- Assist in income tax return preparation and filing for individuals, firms, and companies.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements and conduct vendor/customer ledger reconciliation.
- Handle year-end closing, finalisation of accounts, and audit-related work.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory due dates.
- Coordinate with clients, auditors, and tax authorities.
- Supervise junior accountants and review their work.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting and taxation experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime, MS Excel, GST, TDS, and income tax.
- Practical knowledge of GST returns, reconciliations, and notice handling.
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet statutory deadlines.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Working Details
Working Hours: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Work Location: Vidyavihar , Mumbai
Salary: As per experience and knowledge
