Senior Accountant

Job Title: Head Accountant

Location: Surat, Gujarat (Piplod)

Department: Accounts & Finance

Reports To: Managing Director / Finance Head

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end accounting operations including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and finalization of accounts

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements

Handle GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns) and reconciliation

Supervise banking activities, including reconciliations, payments, and cash flow management

Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, auditors, banks, and tax consultants

Oversee accounts payable and receivable, credit control, and expense management

Prepare MIS reports, budgets, and financial analysis for management review

Maintain accurate records for audits and assessments

Implement and monitor internal controls and accounting policies

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com); M.Com / CA Inter

Minimum 5–10 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role

Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards and taxation

Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems, MS Excel, and accounting software
