We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong exposure to real
estate accounting and statutory compliance. The role involves end-to-end accounting
operations, compliance management, audit support, vendor control, and MIS reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure timely compliance with all statutory requirements including GST, TDS,
PF, Professional Tax, and other applicable laws.
- Handle employee tax compliances such as TDS, P-Tax, and related filings.
- Coordinate with consultants for statutory filings, returns, and assessments.
Accounting Book Keeping
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally, including regular entries and
voucher generation.
- Prepare and review Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) on a regular basis.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of vouchers and supporting records.
Payments Treasury Operations
- Process payments through Cheque / RTGS / NEFT as per approvals.
- Handle formalities related to Fixed Deposits, Mutual Funds, and other
investments.
- Ensure timely payment of insurance premiums, EMIs, phone bills, utility bills,
etc., with prior intimation to HOD on due dates.
Payroll Employee Payments
- Verify and disburse salaries and employee-related payments on time, ensuring
statutory compliance.
- Check payroll-related entries and supporting documents.
Real EstateSpecific Operations
- Verify post-purchase accounting activities and documentation.
- Prepare and issue rent invoices and follow up for collections where required.
- Check bills against Purchase Orders / Work Orders, rate contracts, quantities,
terms, approvals, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain and update Control Sheets / Master Payment Trackers for
reconciliation and payment status.
Audit Finalization
- Provide complete details and schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual
audits.
- Assist in finalisation of accounts and statutory audits.
- Support internal and external auditors with documentation and explanations.
MIS Internal Controls
- Conduct periodic internal checks on financial transactions.
- Prepare and submit MIS reports as required by management.
- Ensure robust internal controls and availability of approved supporting
documents to meet audit standards.
Key Skills Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Real Estate / Construction accounting.
- Hands-on experience with Tally, GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.
- Good understanding of audit processes and internal controls.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and high-volume transactions.
- Strong coordination and documentation skills.
Qualification
Preferred candidate profile
- B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / MBA (Finance) preferred.
- Prior experience in Real Estate / Infrastructure / Construction industry is
mandatory.
- Immediate joiners or candidates available at short notice will be highly
preferred.
