Job Description

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Banjara Hills, Hyderabad

Experience: 2 years

Employment Type: Full-Time from Office

Key Responsibilities:

1. Day-to-Day Accounting Operations

* Handle end-to-end accounting processes including bills uploading, invoice creation & uploading, and entry of credit/debit notes.

* Maintain accurate accounting for import transactions, including duties, clearing charges, and logistics costs.

* Record and reconcile transactions related to sales, purchases, returns, and expenses.

2. Compliance & Taxation

* Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax rules and their practical application.

* Filing and reconciliation of monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) and TDS returns.

* Experience using government portals for compliance activities (GSTN, TRACES, Income Tax portal).

* Support in annual audits and statutory filings.

3. Reconciliation & Reporting

* Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment gateways regularly.

* Reconcile marketplace ledgers (e.g., Amazon, Nykaa, TIRA, Myntra) and ensure correctness of payouts.

* Validate discount structures and promotional deductions across marketplaces.

* Prepare periodic financial and reconciliation reports for management.

4. Payment & Collection Management

* Track and ensure timely vendor payments and customer collections.

* Monitor outstanding balances and follow up for overdue invoices.

* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for payment discrepancy resolutions.

5. Vendor & Customer Account Management

* Handle queries and resolve discrepancies with vendors and customers related to invoices, payments, or deductions.

* Maintain accurate records of vendor agreements, credit terms, and ledgers.

6. Internal Controls & Compliance

* Ensure all accounting practices adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.

* Conduct periodic checks for compliance related to company accounts and statutory norms.

* Support with documentation and records required for internal and external audits.

7. MIS & Financial Support

* Assist with the preparation of monthly P&L reports, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.

* Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and data preparation.

Key Skills & Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Drop outs preferred).

* Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books or similar ERP).

* Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets.

* Familiarity with marketplace portals and settlement reports.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
