Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in managing our international accounting and compliance functions, while also providing support for outsourced accounting services from our operations in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and other countries. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting abilities, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting and Compliance:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Manage General Ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor management and collections.
- Outsourced Services Coordination:
- Collaborate with international teams in Finland, Sweden, and Denmark to manage outsourced accounting tasks.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data for compliance with local regulations in those countries.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve accounting practices across regions.
- Financial Reporting:
- Generate detailed financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders and management.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Audit Support:
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for financial audits and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
- Maintain documentation and processes to comply with auditing standards.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in accounting procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in local and international accounting regulations and practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of Indian GAAP and international accounting standards.
- Experience with outsourced accounting processes, particularly in collaboration with Nordic countries, is a plus.
- Prior experience with a Big 4 firm in statutory audit will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Business Central and similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Know-how of Microsoft business central.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages (especially Finnish, Swedish, or Danish) is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
