Senior Accountant E-commerce & Marketplace Operations
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who has strong expertise in e-commerce marketplace accounting, GST/TDS compliance, Tally, and Evanik (or similar reconciliation tools). The candidate will handle financial reporting, reconciliation, vendor settlements, taxation, and overall accounting accuracy across multiple online sales channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. E-commerce & Marketplace Accounting
- Manage and reconcile sales, returns, cancellations, and commissions from marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Jiomart, Nykaa, etc.
- Download and verify marketplace reports: payment reports, settlement reports, reimbursement reports, FBA/fulfillment charges.
- Ensure accurate posting of orders, fees, shipping charges, and promotions.
- Track marketplace receivables and follow up on short payments or deductions.
- Manage inventory accounting and coordinate with warehousing/dispatch teams.
2. Evanik / Reconciliation Software
- Work on Evanik (or similar tools) for order-wise and settlement-wise reconciliation.
- Identify mismatches in commissions, TCS/TDS deductions, shipping fees, or GST components.
- Generate reconciliation reports and coordinate with marketplaces to resolve disputes.
3. GST Compliance
- Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate reporting of outward supplies, credit notes, debit notes, and input tax credit.
- Handle E-invoicing, E-way bills, and maintain proper GST documentation.
- Resolve GST queries, notices, and mismatches.
4. TDS & TCS
- Calculate and deposit TDS on contractors, professionals, rent, and other applicable deductions.
- Maintain TDS challans and prepare quarterly TDS returns (24Q, 26Q).
- Manage TCS collection and reconciliation from e-commerce platforms.
5. Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate books in Tally (or ERP).
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reporting (sales, expenses, profitability).
- Manage vendor bills, bank reconciliation, and payment processing.
- Maintain balance sheet schedules and support audit activities.
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning.
6. Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with operations, warehouse, marketplace teams, and management.
- Communicate with marketplace seller support for payment-related issues.
- Work closely with tax consultants/auditors for compliance.
