Senior Operations Accountant

Role Summary

This is not a basic bookkeeping role. The Senior Operations Accountant will take practical ownership

of TAGWAY India's day-to-day finance and accounting operations and ensure strong financial control

as the business grows.

The candidate should be capable of working independently, identifying early problems and

maintaining accurate ERP, statutory and management records.

Main Scope

• Manage day-to-day accounting and ERP entries.

• Customer invoicing, AR aging and collection coordination.

• Vendor invoices, AP controls and payment preparation.

• Bank, customer, vendor and ledger reconciliations.

• GST, TDS and other Indian statutory accounting requirements.

• Month-end closing and management reporting.

• Inventory accounting, GRN, landed cost and stock reconciliation.

• Review supporting documents before financial transactions are processed.

• Maintain customer/vendor master's and strong audit trails.

• Coordinate with CA, auditors, banks and authorities when required.

• Support payroll/accounting-related employee transactions.

• Assist with budgeting, cash flow and working-capital visibility.

• Investigate discrepancies and close them rather than merely reporting them.

• Support Finance and Management with reliable and timely information.

Candidate Quality Required

Preferably from a structured corporate environment, with strong ERP exposure and practical

knowledge of Indian accounting, GST and TDS.

Must be:

• Highly organized and accurate.

• Strong in reconciliations and problem solving.

• Comfortable challenging incorrect information.

• Independent and accountable.

• Able to coordinate across Sales, Warehouse, Supply Chain and Management.

• Willing to physically follow issues where necessary.

• Able to work under deadlines without requiring constant supervision.
