Role Description The Senior Accountant role at Namo Realty is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintenance of accurate financial records. The Senior Accountant will prepare and review financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls. The role includes collaborating with project teams to track costs, revenue, and cash flow for residential and commercial developments, as well as coordinating with auditors, external consultants, and management on financial reporting and process improvements. The Senior Accountant will also assist in implementing best practices in accounting systems and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
• Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable processes, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to management.
• Knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory requirements relevant to real estate or construction sectors.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and implement effective controls and process improvements.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with project, operations, and leadership teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA, CMA, CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or equivalent role, preferably within real estate, property development, or related industries.
