Senior Accountant(Insurance company)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee and manage the organization's core financial activities. This role will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and guiding a small team of junior accountants. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and can collaborate with cross functional

teams while maintaining a strong command over accounting principles and compliance mandates.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain financial statements, MIS reports, and monthly cash flow forecasts

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including entries, reconciliations, and ledger scrutiny

Manage direct and indirect tax compliances GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns and reconciliations

Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders during audits

Lead the budgeting process, monitor expenses, and perform variance analysis

Assist in capital raising processes and manage share allotments, ESOPs, and cap tables

Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and financial policies

Strengthen internal financial controls, approvals, and documentation processes

Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior accountants and finance assistants

Qualifications & Skills-

Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) CA Inter or M.Com preferred- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including team supervision- Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and working knowledge of finance software- Strong understanding of Indian tax laws (GST, TDS, IT) and

compliance requirements-
