Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. This role goes beyond routine accountingyou will own day-to-day finances, bring structure to processes, ensure compliance, and support leadership with clear financial insights as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, reimbursements, and advances.
- Review and finalize vendor bills, customer invoicing, and payroll-related entries.
- Perform and review bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities with accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze MIS reports, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cashflow reports.
- Ensure end-to-end GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances, including filings, reconciliations, and notices.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and banks for audits, assessments, and documentation.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards.
- Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting team members, where applicable.
Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification.
- 710+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a growing or fast-paced organization.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel.
- In-depth understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and statutory requirements.
