We are looking for a Senior Accountant with 3+ years of Post Qualification experience to join our finance team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and experience in financial reporting. This role requires collaboration with teams across time zones (IST & MST) and expertise in accounting principles, compliance, and process optimization.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Accountant with 3+ years of Post Qualification experience to join our finance team in Chennai. This role requires collaboration with teams across time zones (IST & MST) and expertise in accounting principles, compliance, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Supervise and review daily accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Support audits and internal reviews to ensure compliance with financial policies and standards.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes are adopted by the team.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and perform variance analysis.
- Support budgeting, financial planning, and cost control activities.
- Work closely with global finance teams and perform intercompany reconciliations.
- Help optimize accounting workflows and enhance internal controls.
- Ensure smooth coordination between finance and other departments.
- Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of post qualification experience, preferably in a multinational or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Netsuite, Quickbooks or similar).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and google sheets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a hands-on approach.
- Effective communication and ability to work across time zones.
