Role SummaryWe're looking for an Accountant who has strong hands-on experience in sales reconciliation on Zoho Books, specifically for FMCG marketplaces like Amazon, FirstCry, Blinkit, and Swiggy Instamart.
The core responsibility is to ensure accurate reconciliation of sales, commissions, returns, settlements, and receivables between marketplace reports and Zoho Books with zero mismatch.
This role requires someone who understands how marketplace payouts actually work, can break down settlement reports, and reflect them correctly in books to give clear, real-time financial visibility.
Key Responsibilities1. Marketplace Sales Reconciliation (Core Responsibility)- Reconcile sales data from marketplaces with Zoho Books on a daily/weekly basis
- Record and validate:
- Gross sales vs net settlements
- Marketplace commissions, fees, and charges
- Returns, refunds, cancellations
- TDS, TCS, and deductions
- Match settlement reports with bank credits
- Identify and resolve mismatches proactively
- Maintain reconciliation statements for each platform
2. Zoho Books & System Management- Handle complete accounting in Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory
- Ensure correct ledger mapping for:
- Marketplace sales
- Commission expenses
- Payment gateway deductions
- Maintain a clean and structured Chart of Accounts
- Ensure real-time, accurate, and audit-ready books
3. Daily Accounting Operations- Record all sales, expenses, and bank transactions
- Perform bank, UPI, and wallet reconciliations
- Maintain accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure proper documentation and discipline in entries
4. FMCG & Inventory Accounting- Work with Zoho Inventory for stock-linked accounting
- Track SKU-level sales and costing
- Maintain COGS accuracy and margin visibility
- Support stock reconciliation with warehouse team
5. GST & Compliance- Prepare data for GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
- Ensure GST reconciliation with marketplace data
- Handle TDS, TCS tracking and compliance
- Coordinate with CA for filings and audits
6. MIS & Financial Reporting- Prepare monthly MIS including:
- Channel-wise revenue
- Settlement tracking
- Receivables and leakage points
- Highlight discrepancies and financial gaps
- Support decision-making with clear numbers
7. Vendor & Payment Management- Manage vendor bills and payment schedules
- Track marketplace receivables and settlement cycles
- Follow up on discrepancies or short settlements
Required Skills & Experience- Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience (FMCG / ecommerce preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience in Zoho Books (mandatory)
- Proven experience in marketplace reconciliation (Amazon, quick commerce, etc.)
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, and TCS
- Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and MIS
- High attention to detail and ownership mindset
