About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Accountant with strong practical knowledge of GST compliance, bookkeeping and finalisation of accounts. The candidate should be capable of independently handling day-to-day accounting and statutory compliance work for multiple clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain books of accounts in Tally Prime
• Prepare and file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B
• Perform GST reconciliation and verify Input Tax Credit
• Handle bank, vendor, customer and ledger reconciliations
• Prepare Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet
• Finalise books of accounts and assist in income-tax return preparation
• Handle TDS accounting, reconciliation and return-related work
• Prepare working papers and supporting schedules
• Coordinate with clients to collect records and resolve accounting queries
• Ensure timely completion of monthly and statutory compliances
Required Skills and Qualifications
• B.Com, M.Com or equivalent qualification
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong practical knowledge of GST and bookkeeping
• Experience in finalisation of accounts and balance sheets
• Working knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel
• Good communication and client-coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience in a CA firm or accounting consultancy will be preferred
