About the Opportunity
We are hiring for a rapidly growing, technology-driven accounting and professional services organization that is redefining the delivery of accounting, tax, and advisory services.
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant ( Reporting to Sr.Manager / Controller) to lead financial operations, ensure statutory compliance, and drive accounting process efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and the Companies Act, 2013.
- Manage end-to-end accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management reports and financial analyses.
General Ledger Management
- Maintain and oversee the General Ledger (GL) and ensure the integrity of accounting records.
- Perform periodic bank reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and asset registers.
Statutory & Tax Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including:
- GST returns and reconciliations
- TDS/TCS filings
- Income Tax computations and filings
- ROC and Companies Act compliance requirements
- Coordinate with consultants and ensure timely submission of all regulatory filings.
Audit Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for:
- Statutory Audits
- Internal Audits
- Tax Audits
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit observations and queries.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Review aging reports and ensure timely collections and vendor payments.
- Drive process improvements to maintain healthy cash flow and working capital.
Payroll & Employee Compliance
- Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with:
- Provident Fund (PF)
- Employee State Insurance (ESI)
- Professional Tax
- Other employee-related statutory obligations.
KPI Reporting
- Develop and track key financial metrics and KPIs.
- Prepare dashboards and reports for management review.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of business and finance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce or Finance (B.Com/M.Com)
- Minimum 3+ years of post-qualification experience in core accounting and finance roles.
- Strong understanding of:
- Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS)
- Companies Act, 2013
- Direct and Indirect Taxation
- Financial Reporting and Controls
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with ERP and accounting systems such as:
- TallyPrime
- Zoho Books
- SAP
- NetSuite
