Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage accounting, inventory control, statutory compliance, and financial reporting for our interior fit-out and turnkey project operations. The role involves close coordination with project, site, and procurement teams and requires strong hands-on experience in project accounting, inventory management, and financial forecasting.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Finance- Maintain complete books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization.
Project & Cost Accounting- Handle project-wise accounting, job costing, and profitability analysis.
- Track BOQ budgets, material consumption, site expenses, and cost variations.
- Coordinate with project and procurement teams for effective cost control.
Inventory Management- Maintain accurate records of materials, hardware, fittings, and consumables.
- Track inward, outward, inter-site transfers, and stock issuance.
- Conduct periodic stock reconciliation (physical vs books).
- Identify slow-moving or excess inventory and report variances.
Billing, Receivables & Payables- Manage client billing, RA bills, debit/credit notes, and collection follow-ups.
- Handle vendor payments, reconciliation, and subcontractor bill verification.
GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and reconcile with GSTR-2B.
- Handle TDS deductions, returns, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations.
Daily, Weekly & Monthly Reporting- Prepare daily cash and expense reports.
- Generate weekly project-wise cost, inventory, billing, and collection reports.
- Prepare monthly MIS, P&L, cash flow, and variance analysis for management.
Forecasting & Financial Planning- Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Support revenue, cost, and inventory forecasting for ongoing projects.
- Assist management in budgeting and fund planning.
Audit & Coordination- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, auditors, and consultants.
- Support statutory and internal audits and ensure audit readiness.
Required Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
- CA Inter / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 610+ years of experience in interior fit-out, construction, or contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of project accounting, inventory control, GST, TDS, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
