About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at Pune. The role requires expertise in construction and real estate accounting, with proven experience in contractor/vendor payments, project financial management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing end-to-end accounts independently, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely reporting to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
- Manage contractor/vendor billing and payments, verifying work progress and ensuring timely disbursements.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, budgets, and WIP (Work-in-Progress).
- Prepare and finalize monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, RERA, PF, ESIC, and Income Tax regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors and consultants for statutory and internal audits.
- Generate MIS reports, project cost reports, and cash flow statements for management.
- Monitor project-level financial performance and support budgeting & forecasting.
- Supervise junior accounting staff and ensure effective financial controls.
Requirements
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- 57 years of experience in accounting with mandatory exposure to construction/real estate projects.
- Strong knowledge of contractor/vendor payments and project-based accounting.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel (advanced), and accounting/reporting tools (Strategic ERP).
- In-depth understanding of real estate compliance (RERA, GST, TDS, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle deadlines and work independently with accuracy.
