Role Overview

We're looking for a seasoned Senior Account Manager (PR) who can independently manage client accounts, lead PR strategy, mentor junior team members, and act as a trusted point of contact for clients. This role requires someone who understands storytelling, media relations, and relationship management and can balance strategy with execution in a fast-paced agency environment.

You'll be expected to think like a consultant, communicate like a leader, and execute like a doer.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Management

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.

Manage end-to-end PR accounts including strategy, execution, reporting, and renewals.

Build strong, trust-based client relationships and handle feedback professionally.

Lead monthly/quarterly review calls and present PR performance reports.

PR Strategy & Execution

Develop PR strategies aligned with client goals, brand positioning, and timelines.

Create strong story angles, press notes, pitches, and media plans.

Drive consistent media coverage across print, digital, broadcast, and new-age platforms.

Oversee press releases, interviews, launches, events, and brand announcements.

Media Relations

Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and producers.

Pitch proactively and follow up effectively for placements.

Understand media preferences, deadlines, and formats.

Track media opportunities relevant to clients and act quickly.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Manage and mentor Account Executives / PR Executives.

Review drafts, pitches, and media lists before sharing with clients or media.

Delegate tasks clearly and ensure timelines are met.

Coordinate with content, design, social, and influencer teams when required.

Business & Growth Support

Support new business pitches and proposals.

Identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.

Assist in onboarding new clients smoothly.

Ensure client retention through strong performance and communication.

Reporting & Documentation

Track coverage, create monthly PR reports, and measure impact.

Maintain organized documentation for each account.

Ensure quality control and consistency across all client deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

46+ years of experience in PR or communications (agency experience preferred).

Proven ability to manage multiple clients independently.

Strong media relationships across relevant beats.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Confidence in client conversations, presentations, and negotiations.

Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.

Preferred Background

Experience in lifestyle, startups, D2C, founders, entertainment, or corporate PR.

Exposure to digital PR, personal branding, or influencer-led storytelling.

Experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
