Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Account Executive with strong accounting and finance expertise from an agency background. The role requires hands-on ownership of end-to-end accounting, statutory compliance, client billing, and financial reporting, with a strong understanding of agency commercials and client management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting, including books finalization (Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet).
- Oversee daily cash flow management, banking operations, and fund planning.
- Handle accounts receivable and payable, including regular reconciliations.
- Process vendor invoices and payments while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare MIS reports, financial statements, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required documentation.
- Monitor financial records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal controls and company policies.
- Track client billing, collections, and outstanding payments.
- Conduct regular client visits as required for payment follow-ups and commercial discussions.
- Maintain a detailed tracker for client payments to ensure timely collections.
- Support profitability tracking at client and project levels.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align financial processes with business needs.
Background & Skill Requirements
- 4–5+ years of experience in accounting and finance within a marketing, advertising, or digital agency.
- Strong understanding of agency billing models, client commercials, and profitability tracking.
- Sound working knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and MIS reporting.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple accounts independently.
