Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Academic Editor & Research Methods Consultant for a full-time, hybrid role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area with partial flexibility for remote work. This role involves overseeing editing and proofreading of academic manuscripts, providing in-depth guidance for research methods, reviewing and enhancing manuscript structure, and ensuring adherence to international journal standards. Responsibilities include consulting with researchers to refine key aspects of their work, advising on optimal journal selection, and assisting with formatting, submission, and revisions to maximize publication outcomes. Collaboration with a team of specialized editors and researchers across various disciplines will be key to this role.

 Qualifications

  • Strong academic editing, proofreading, and manuscript development skills
  • Expertise in research methodologies and crafting clear, structured narratives
  • Experience in journal selection guidance, citation styles, and formatting for publication
  • Familiarity with Scopus, Web of Science, and other high-impact journal standards
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills to work effectively with researchers
  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary research is preferred
  • Proficiency with academic tools and software (e.g., LaTeX, EndNote, Zotero) is a plus
