Semiconductor Material Science Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your deep expertise in semiconductor materials or molecular modeling could directly shape how AI reasons through some of the most complex problems in modern science We're looking for Material Science experts — Masters and PhD holders — to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models on advanced scientific problems with real-world relevance.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for specialists who want to do meaningful, intellectually engaging work on their own schedule. Full training support is provided — no prior AI experience needed.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and review advanced material science problems grounded in real-world applications
  • Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related domains to design rigorous, complex problem statements
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to sharpen AI model reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated scientific outputs for accuracy, depth, and methodological soundness
  • Ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and quality across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Master's or PhD in Material Science or a closely related field
  • Strong expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent specializations
  • Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or applied projects
  • Exceptionally clear written and verbal communicator with sharp attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and consistent when working independently
  • Based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Familiarity with AI tools or scientific benchmarking systems
  • Background in applied or computational materials research
