Chennai | Full-Time | On-Site
RPN Universal is expanding into advanced technology and emerging engineering domains, and we are looking for a passionate Semiconductor Engineer to join our growing technical ecosystem.
Role: Semiconductor Engineer
This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about semiconductor technology, VLSI, chip design, device physics, and semiconductor manufacturing and want to work on future-focused technology initiatives.
What You'll Work On
• Semiconductor device fundamentals and analysis
• VLSI / IC design concepts
• Digital & analog circuit fundamentals
• Semiconductor fabrication and wafer processing
• Device structures and semiconductor physics
• Research & Development activities
• Process and device optimization
• Equipment and process analysis
• Data analysis and yield improvement
• EDA tools and simulation workflows
• Supporting future semiconductor design initiatives
• Technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, Semiconductor Technology, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field
• Strong understanding of semiconductor fundamentals
• Knowledge of electronics, device physics and digital systems
• Understanding of semiconductor fabrication / VLSI concepts
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interest in R&D and emerging semiconductor technologies
Good to Have
• Verilog / SystemVerilog
• VLSI / ASIC / SoC design knowledge
• EDA tools or semiconductor simulation tools
• RTL design & verification
• Physical design fundamentals
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Semiconductor fabrication / cleanroom exposure
• Python / MATLAB / data analysis

We are looking for builders, learners and problem-solvers who are genuinely interested in understanding how semiconductor devices and chips are designed and manufactured.
Freshers with strong fundamentals and a serious interest in semiconductor technology are also encouraged to apply.
