Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform detailed analysis of complex circuit schematics, memory blocks, and building block designs.
- Execute block-level verification using SPICE simulators for DC, transient, and gate-level simulations.
- Debug Gate Level Simulation (GLS) failures and identify root causes at transistor or physical circuit level.
- Conduct SPICE correlation and validate simulation accuracy against expected circuit behavior.
- Work on structural netlist simulations with zero delay, unit delay, and path delay methodologies.
- Analyze latch-based designs and ensure compliance with setup/hold timing requirements.
- Develop and execute functional verification and simulation patterns.
- Perform timing characterization and validate timing libraries, timing arcs, and related file structures.
- Collaborate with design, validation, and physical design teams to resolve complex circuit issues.
- Perform what-if analysis and localized fixes to validate permanent design solutions.
- Document debug findings, simulation results, and design recommendations clearly.
- Participate in technical reviews and provide support during validation and tape-out activities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of experience in Semiconductor/VLSI Circuit Verification & Validation.
- Strong expertise in transistor-level debugging and SPICE-based simulation environments.
- Experience working with Verilog MOS switch-level models.
- Ability to debug complex failures down to physical circuit/transistor level.
- Good understanding of latch-based designs and restrictive timing requirements.
- Exposure to semiconductor design validation and characterization flows.
- Familiarity with UVM/SystemVerilog is an added advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
