Job Description
We are seeking a skilled
Selenium Automation Tester with 3 to 6 years of handson experience in automating web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, good programming fundamentals, experience working in Agile teams, and the ability to deliver high-quality automation scripts that support fast and reliable releases.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Automation Development
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using
Selenium WebDriver and JAVA
Implement automation frameworks using
POM, Page Factory, and best coding practices.
Create reusable functions and libraries for automation.
Automate and Maintain regression, smoke, and sanity test suites.
Test Design & Execution
Analyse user stories and requirements to determine
test scenarios and coverage.
Write and maintain
test cases,
test scripts, and
test data.
Validate test results, log defects, and track them to closure.
CI/CD & Version Control
Integrate automated scripts into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Work with version control systems like
Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure quality across the SDLC.
Participate in
Agile ceremonies sprint planning, grooming, daily standups, retros, etc.
Share regular reports on test execution, test coverage, and automation progress.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
36 years of hands-on experience in
Selenium WebDriver.
Strong programming skills in
Java.
Experience with testing frameworks like
BDD(Cucumber) / TestNG.
Knowledge of
Maven/Gradle for build management.
Knowledge of
Jira, HP-ALM, or similar test/defect management tools
Experience with
API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured (added advantage).
Familiarity with
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Experience with test reporting tools such as
Extent Reports, or equivalent.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment.
Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality outputs.
