Role Description
This is a full-time, remote role for a Segment Sales Manager - Gas & Water (Chennai). The role involves managing sales activities, building and nurturing relationships with key customers, and identifying new opportunities in the gas and water segment. The Segment Sales Manager will be tasked with achieving sales targets, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role also includes monitoring market trends and providing innovative solutions for client needs.
- To meet sales targets for Infrastructure Segment from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
- Prepare sales strategy based on agreed timelines.
- Ensure adherence to corporate values.
- This role will drive the pre-sales, sales, execution, and payment collection for southern Indian states. It will also include Channel Partner (Distributors) management, KAM and govt. institution relationship / business development.
- Regulating and managing sales pipeline, nurture leads and convert to order. It will be responsible for working on multiple product lines and 2 sectors viz. gas and water.
- Maintain the existing clientele and develop new ones from the region.
Qualifications & other requirements
- While a B.E. or B.Tech. degree is a must, preference would be given to those having Masters's degree in Sales and Marketing.
- 5+ years experience in B2B Sales.
- Language Proficiency: English and Tamil are must and other south Indian languages along with Hindi would be of additional value.
- Market Research.
- Microsoft Dynamics and CRM experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills, active listening and rapport building at multiple levels of decision makers, including regional management.
- Organizing and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects at any one time.
- Team player.
