This Position reports to:
Head of Sales - India & Southeast AsiaYour role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct proactive business development for assigned industry segments aligned with the region's strategy where business conditions require increased attention and focus. Each day, you will provide business support, including expertise in products, applications, solutions, and segment and customer (group) support for the assigned product portfolio. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring profitable business growth and sustainable deployment of the region's strategic plan.

This role is contributing to the Automation Division-B&R in Pune/Ahmedabad/ Bangalore/ Faridabad in India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Lead industry competence development by networking with global industry players and building strong industry insights.
Engage with customers through advisory discussions, technical solutioning, and proof‑of‑concept activities to validate use cases.
Facilitate connections between EUs, OEMs, and B&R, supporting OEMs that require EU references for solution alignment.
Active participation in industry events, associations, fairs, and social media to strengthen brand presence.
Apply a consultative sales approach by organizing customer days, presenting customized value propositions, and promoting portfolio offerings to expand share of wallet across key accounts or industry segments.
Qualifications of the role:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related field).
10 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, technical sales or prescription roles
Experience in industry-specific marketing and executing assigned segment strategies (Pharma/ Packaging (CPG)/ Printing/ Electronics Assembly/ Battery etc.)
Proven ability to collaborate with Innovation, R&D, and Product Groups to build future opportunity pipelines and translate market needs into product strategies.
Skilled in value proposition creation, sales tools, and supporting consultative selling for complex technical portfolios.
Strong market intelligence skills, including monitoring trends, collecting insights, and conducting competitor benchmarking.
Experience in market development portfolio including core products, vision, mechatronics, motion, IIoT, Edge etc.
