Who should apply
We are not looking for general translators, freelancers, or content writers. We are looking for the top 1% of academic and cultural experts who meet all the following:
- Native fluency in one or more of the following (reading and writing):
- Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Arabic, Sanskrit
- Strong command of English (for prompt interpretation and evaluation)
- Deep academic or research expertise in Visual Arts or related cultural fields, such as:
- Fine arts (painting, sculpture, printmaking)
- Art history and art criticism
- Contemporary and modern Indian art
- Folk and tribal art traditions
- Architecture and design heritage
- Photography and visual culture
- Aesthetics and visual theory
- Museum studies, curation, conservation
- Public art, digital art, new media practices
- PhD, MPhil, or Master's degree is preferred, but credible, extensive experience in the field will also be considered
- Passion for visual language, cultural nuance, and artistic traditions
- Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.
Your Role
Challenge and teach AI models to understand the depth and diversity of Visual Arts traditions in your language.
- Design advanced and culturally grounded prompts in your regional language that challenge state-of-the-art AI models
- Evaluate model outputs for factual accuracy, artistic nuance, historical context, symbolism, and cultural relevance
- Identify blind spots and weaknesses in current AI understanding of visual arts traditions
- Collaborate with an international team shaping how AI understands Indian visual arts, aesthetics, and cultural knowledge systems
