Role Description The Seed Investor role at Code Setu is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Seed Investor will work closely with the founding team to evaluate the business model, growth roadmap, and product-market fit, and help shape the early-stage strategy for scaling the platform. This role includes conducting financial and market analysis, advising on fundraising strategy, and helping define key performance indicators and milestones. The Seed Investor will participate in regular strategy sessions, provide guidance on budgeting and capital allocation, and support introductions to relevant networks, including potential partners and follow-on investors. Day-to-day activities may also involve reviewing operational plans, assessing risks, and mentoring the leadership team on sustainable growth and governance.
Qualifications
- Strong background in early-stage investing, venture capital, angel investing, or startup incubation, with demonstrated experience evaluating technology or edtech startups.
- Solid financial acumen, including skills in financial modeling, unit economics, valuation, and portfolio risk assessment.
- Experience in strategic planning, go-to-market strategy, or business development, preferably within tech-enabled or education-focused organizations.
- Ability to assess product-market fit, user growth strategies, and scalable business models in digital platforms or learning ecosystems.
- Established professional network in the startup ecosystem, including other investors, accelerators, and potential strategic partners.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise and challenge founders constructively.
- Comfort working on-site with a lean, fast-moving team in Bengaluru and engaging hands-on with operational and strategic decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
