Job Description:
The Security Systems Design Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and supporting the implementation of integrated physical security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Perimeter Protection systems. The role requires strong technical expertise in system architecture, compliance standards, and client-specific security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. System Design & Engineering
Design end-to-end physical security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Alarm Systems, VMS, etc.)
Prepare system architecture diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings
Prepare detailed design documents, including:
SLDs (Single Line Diagrams)
Cable schedules and layouts
Ensure all documentation aligns with project scope and client requirements
Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations
Local safety and security regulations
Client-specific compliance requirements
Stay updated with latest security technologies and trends
Recommend improvements in design practices and system efficiency
Required Qualifications
Engineer's Degree in Electrical /Electronics or related field
13 years of experience in physical security systems design (CCTV, ACS, IDS, etc.)
Certification in security systems (preferred but not mandatory)
Technical Skills
Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD or similar
Knowledge of:
Access control systems, CCTV and other physical security systems
Understanding of structured cabling systems
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and presentation skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy and quality of design deliverables
Timely completion of tasks
Reduction in design-related project issues
