JOB PURPOSE:
To develop, update, monitor and ensure the implementation of the security measures, controls, standards and
guidelines at all stations and airports at the country of operation, in alignment with the applicable internal as we
all as country of operation regulations, policies and compliance requirements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the process of monitoring, identifying and assessing actual or suspected risks, threats, breaches,
frauds or any other unlawful act and either take required action or escalate findings along with
recommendation of rectification
Ensure proper follow up by the team on actions for the identified or suspected breaches and noncompliance
issues through to successful, compliant and timely resolution
Respond to escalated matters and emergencies promptly and in compliance with the applicable policies,
procedures and regulations
Initiate special security measures during periods of increased risk and for critical flight and routes at the
country of operation, when needed, in consultation with relevant stakeholders
Ensure proper maintenance and documentation of all unauthorized weapons or suspect explosive devices
that are detected on Oman Air aircraft
Extend required support during scheduling and implementing audits and inspections of airline security and
all airports at the country of operation, and ensure timely dissemination of the findings report to the
relevant stakeholders
Extend support during investigations, as requested, in collaboration with investigation team and other
relevant stakeholders
Manage shift roster, allocate resources as required and cover shifts in instances of staff shortages
Conduct planned and ad hoc checks during shifts to ensure the team's compliance with the applicable
policies, measures and controls, and take the required action if breach/negligence is identified
Liaise with the relevant regulating, security and enforcement bodies/entities with regards to the facilitation
of applicable security practices or as guided
Design and deliver training sessions to the relevant stakeholders on security practices, applicable
regulations and updates in the country of operation
Provide 24x7 on call support for emergencies, incidents or any other required support
Develop and enhance KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the applicable security practices
Develop and submit required reports and analytics within agreed timeframes
Remain updated on relevant local and international laws, regulations and policies affecting Oman Air at the
country of operation, and use this in updating the current practices and notifying relevant stakeholders
Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the Management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
or
Diploma Certificate with 2 years of aviation experience provided the individual holds a specialised certificate/ license in the relevant discipline.
