Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as the SPOC for all network security activities at the Data Center and DR, including installations, upgrades, migrations, incident handling, performance tuning, reporting, and patching.
- Design, configure, implement, and maintain security platforms and associated software, including routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and related components.
- Design, review, and continuously assess policies for firewalls, intrusion detection/intrusion prevention systems, VPNs, and other network security components.
- Ensure implementation of network security best practices through regular audits of router, switch, and firewall configurations, change control processes, and monitoring activities.
- Coordinate and support network/security service offerings in consultation with ERNET India to ensure customer security policies and requirements are fulfilled.
- Respond to security breaches and incidents, coordinating with OEMs to ensure timely resolution; ensure workaround or patch availability for newly observed threats.
- Periodically review and validate user access rights and privileges to maintain security compliance.
- Serve as a key liaison between departments and stakeholders for network security activities and communication.
