We bring together experts in AI, engineering, analysis, quality, and architecture to deliver product & process solutions, application run services, change and transformation initiatives, and centralized platform services across both on prem and Guidewire Cloud environments. Our teams operate from multiple global delivery centers, supporting Zurich's business units worldwide.
Security Operations Analyst
Purpose:
Utilizes technical and operational expertise to support and provide recommendations to deliver effective IT services that will meet the day-to-day needs of the business.
Key Accountabilities:
Consult and recommend necessary actions for effective operational delivery of core IT Services to all business partners within own area of responsibility:
- Infrastructure
- Network
- Workplace
- Application
- Security
- Utilize technology and collaborative skills to provide design expertise for the introduction of new solutions and services in support of the Business strategy.
- Collaborates with all peers and partners (internal & external)
- Monitor systems availability/performance and takes adequate actions for problem prevention in own area of responsibility.
- Maintain methods, tools and standards to ensure service availability and performance.
- Provide technological input to implementation and operation.
- Supports business projects in planning stages to support consistent design and implementation within existing (planned) infrastructure.
- Contributes to the positive impact of the service improvement programs through effective use KPI's.

Business Accountabilities:
- Investigate and assess internal client technical issues related to assigned infrastructure scope and manage each case to a successful resolution, working in conjunction with IT colleagues and directly with internal customers where necessary.
- Provide technical expertise on aspects of the relevant infrastructure services to internal customers, advise them of appropriate actions to fulfill procedural and regulatory requirements or solve immediate problems.
- Input into project planning to ensure that requirements of own area of IT are properly addressed in projects, and project delivery is implemented correctly in own area.
- Follow defined security policies and guidelines to ensure information security and highlight any potential discrepancy.
- Document outages, errors and any other customer or service issues, administer actions to resolve service problems and perform incident, problem and escalation management for own area of responsibility.
- Adhere to budgets in own area of IT, and monitor, review and update financial information (including vendor management where necessary), to identify any anomalies or discrepancies and ensure management has access to up to date and accurate information.
- Review and analyze IT project performance using standard reporting tools and highlight discrepancies against plan.
- Undertake investigations and inspections of IT data, processes, practices and incidents in accordance with established procedure to identify potential or actual compliance issues and recommend appropriate action.
- Independently collate and analyze data using pre-determined tools, methods and formats and make recommendations in order to support the decision-making process in own area of IT.
- Assess and evaluate IT business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.

- Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) principles and emerging technologies, including how AI can be applied to streamline processes, improve decision-making, and enhance overall operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate proactively identifies opportunities to leverage AI-driven tools and automation within their role, driving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. A mindset of continuous learning and innovation is essential, with an expectation to stay informed on evolving AI capabilities and thoughtfully integrate them into day-to-day responsibilities where appropriate.

Client Internally Focused - The job's core deliverables rely on delivering service to internal clients, usually at the line manager or employee level. May involve sharing subject matter expertise to others in the organization or supporting others in their efforts to deliver on our promise.
Required Skills:
- Candidates should demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Active Directory (ADUC), including user provisioning, group management, and access control administration. Experience managing identities and access within Microsoft Azure (Entra ID), including user lifecycle management and group-based access, is essential. Familiarity with ServiceNow for access requests, ticketing, and workflow management is highly preferred.
- The ideal candidate brings a strong focus on efficiency, continuous improvement, and an automation-first mindset—actively identifying opportunities to streamline manual processes and enhance operational scalability. Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Python is not required but is considered a strong advantage.

Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of experience in the information technology area OR
- Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprentice, including associate degree and 4 or more years of experience in the information technology area OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the information technology area AND
- MS Office experience
- Knowledge of information technology operations
