Job Summary
The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and overall estate management of the campus. The role involves supervising security operations, enforcing policies and procedures, managing surveillance systems, and overseeing housekeeping and facility maintenance to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for all personnel, students, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance systems, and inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points
- Control access by permitting or restricting entry as per defined procedures
- Identify, assess, and investigate suspicious behaviour, threats, and irregular activities
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide necessary assistance to employees and students
- Prevent losses and damages by reporting irregularities and enforcing policies and procedures
- Sound alarms and coordinate with emergency services when required
- Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations
- Maintain organizational stability and reputation by ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Oversee security operations and ensure adherence to safety practices and protocols
- Manage estate operations including campus buildings, hostels, residential facilities, landscaping, canteen, gym, etc.
- Supervise housekeeping operations across campus, hostels, and public areas
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance standards are consistently met
- Monitor building systems and equipment; ensure preventive maintenance and timely repairs
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance and facility services
- Strong knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and estate management
- Experience in enforcement of policies, procedures, and administrative controls
- Ability to handle crisis situations and make sound decisions under pressure
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized statutory university.
- Postgraduate Degree in Management / Hospitality / General Administration or related field from a reputed institute (preferred)
Professional Certifications
- Certification in Security Management, Safety, or Facility Management (preferred but not mandatory)
Professional Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Security & Estate Management
- Experience in a similar administrative or managerial role is essential
- Retired Army, Air Force, or Naval personnel with administrative experience are encouraged to apply
