As a Security Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute creative solutions in design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine approaches to build solutions and break down technical problems.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others, focusing on backend development in Python or Java and any one public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Design and develop backend services using Python or Java modules, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Continuously evolve development protocols by following industry insights and regulations, and create processes to assess the effectiveness of current controls.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and business leaders to understand technical needs and recommend business modifications during periods of change.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver product features.
- Utilize AI/ML techniques with hands-on experience solving real-time problems, focusing on automation, toil reduction, and intelligent feature generation.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Expertise in backend programming, cloud development, and hands-on AI/ML experience solving real-time problems.
- Advanced hands-on programming skills in Python (Flask, Django) or Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
- Experience with any one of the IaC tool such as Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CloudFormation, Google Deployment Manager, or Azure Resource Manager.
- Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level backend solutions.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and deploying AI/ML models in production environments, with a focus on solving real-world business challenges.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle in a public cloud environment.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new programming languages, frameworks, and emerging technologies as needed.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Cloud computing related certifications with an AWS/Azure/GCP (Developer or Solution Architect) focus are strongly preferred, such as AWS Certified Security, Solutions Architect, Developer Engineer, or similar.
- Experience in cloud security, including designing and implementing secure solutions for any cloud platform domain (AWS, Azure, or GCP), is an advantage.
- Golang programming experience is advantageous.
