As a Security Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Cyber Security and Technology Controls team, you serve as an emerging member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted cybersecurity software solutions. You are responsible for executing basic software solutions through design, development, and troubleshooting within a technical area, while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role. You work closely with product owners to translate requirements into application features and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

Job responsibilities

• Develop full stack applications using Java, Springboot, and React
• Write, debug, and test secure, high-quality code for Agile Jira stories
• Participate actively in Agile scrum ceremonies and support project delivery
• Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and translate them into features
• Apply specialized tools to analyze and summarize probability and impact of threats
• Support delivery of continuity-related awareness, training, and exercises
• Maintain and utilize relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
• Proficiently build and deploy using CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins
• Demonstrate ability to code in one or more languages

• Apply knowledge of DevOps, SRE, and non-functional metrics

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 2+ year applied experience
• Two years of experience as a full stack developer using Java, Springboot, and React
• Experience using relational databases and proficiency in writing SQL
• Proficient in build and deployment using CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins
• Knowledge of DevOps, SRE, and non-functional metrics
• Basic experience developing security engineering solutions
• Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
• Two years of experience across the Software Development Life Cycle
• Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Working knowledge of information and network security, IT risk management, and architectural concepts and patterns

• Graduation in Computer Science or Engineering
